Core Components of Machine Tool Castings
Base
The largest and heaviest component that supports the entire machine's weight. It serves as the foundation and absorbs the bulk of the operational load and vibrations.
Carriage / Saddle
The intermediate sliding base that moves across the X or Y axis, providing a mounting point for worktables or the spindle housing.
